1. Initial Disinfection
Dilute Prophyl® S in water at 1–2% (1:100 to 1:50) depending on the desired protection. Apply 200–300 ml per m² using a low-pressure sprayer to walls, floors, ceilings, and equipment, ensuring near-runoff coverage. Leave to act for 30–60 minutes depending on the target pathogen. Increase contact time in cooler temperatures.
2. Coccidia and Cryptosporidium Prevention
Prepare a 2% (1:50) solution and spray on pre-washed surfaces up to animal height. Apply 0.4 litres per m² on concrete floors and 0.5 litres per m² on dirt floors. Allow a minimum of 2 hours contact time.
3. Soaking Small Equipment
Prepare a 1–2% solution (1:100 to 1:50). Immerse clean materials and small equipment, scrub thoroughly, and leave for 30–60 minutes. Rinse with clean water after treatment.
4. Surroundings Disinfection
Use a 2% (1:50) solution, spraying 300–500 ml per m² to disinfect surrounding areas.
5. Pre-Disinfection in High-Risk Situations
Apply a 2% (1:50) solution at low pressure, using 300–500 ml per m² on surfaces prior to intervention. Leave for 12–24 hours before further activity.
6. Footbaths
Use a 2% (1:50) solution of Prophyl® S (2 litres per 100 litres of water). Footbaths should hold 10–15 litres with a minimum depth of 10 cm.
